But in order to achieve this, EV infrastructure needs to be as reliable, available, and efficient as the infrastructure that exists for vehicles powered by natural gas.

Future-proofing the transit sector

Transportation is responsible for roughly 30 percent of greenhouse gas emissions, and 95% of the world's transport energy still comes from fossil fuels. For 45% of countries transport is the largest source of energy related emissions. For the rest of the countries, it is the second largest source.
